With a population of about two million people, Karu is a fast developing city that has an increase rate of 40% every year. Some towns in Karu include; Kurunduma, New Nyanya, Mararaba, New Karu, Ado, Masaka among others.
Karu is a comfortable place with affordable accommodation. A flat can be gotten at a cheap cost and other parts of Abuja are easily accessible from the area.
This is one of the well known suburban area in Abuja with a large population. It is situated at the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and has five districts which are Lugbe south, Lugbe north, Lugbe central, Lugbe west and Lugbe east. You can get to Lugbe after about 17 minutes drive from the Central Business District of Abuja. And it will take just 13 minutes drive to get to Abuja Airport from Lugbe. NYSC members always choose to stay in Lugbe because it is cheaper when compared to other parts of Abuja and also the City centre and Airport is easily accessible.
One has to bear it in mind that due to the airport road, there may be traffic from time to time but nevertheless Lugbe is okay as a residential area.

Kuje is developing at a very fast rate and houses are constantly built there due to the fact that it is close to Abuja and there are no more informal settlements on the airport road.
If you are a low or average income earner you can rent an apartment in this area as it would be more affordable.
