Lekki Phase 1 is a properly planned and maintained residential area by the Lagos state government. It is situated in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State. The area currently referred to as Lekki Phase 1 was formerly known as Maroko which was a slum before it was demolished by Raji Rasaki of the then Lagos State military Government.
Presently, Lekki phase 1 is seen as one of the most expensive places to live in Nigeria. Freedom way is off-Admiralty, specifically at the end of Admiralty way. If you follow that way you’ll get to the 3rd roundabout of the Lekki – Epe Express that is Ikate bus stop. Dome Church is situated on Freedom Way.

Adewunmi Adebimpe Drive is situated at the 2nd roundabout, well.known as Maruwa Bus stop. Many of the streets lead to different parts of Lekki phase 1. The end of the drive is a T-junction. Taking right leads to the Lekki Central Mosque and the 3rd roundabout. Left of that road lead to Dowen College Lekki and Admiralty Way. One can escape huge traffic on the Lekki-Epe Expressway if you ply this route. Mobolaji Johnson Place which is an estate that served as a military guesthouse in the 90s and later renovated to match modern style is situated on this drive.
